Your feedback has been critical in these last stages of development and will continue to be a driver for our team for years to come. We are incredibly proud of the dedication our community has shown throughout CoH-Development. Now it’s just a matter of tuning and polishing everything to deliver on that core experience. Over the next 4-months we will not be adding any new features - the factions, units, modes, campaigns and modding tools for CoH3 are all set for launch. Every day we remove bugs and finalize assets and features to help guarantee a better moment-to-moment experience for our players. So, what does this all mean? It means we’re spending this additional time polishing and finalizing features while also squashing bugs. This provides our hard-working team and partners with the necessary time to deliver CoH3 in a better overall state. While we know many of you are itching to get your hands on the game, we believe this to be the best decision for CoH3, our players, and our studio. There are still bugs to squash, pixels to polish, gameplay to adjust and feedback to address.Īs a result, we’ve decided to move the launch date to February 23rd, 2023. So yes, it is very unfair to blame relic, if nobody havnt done this before, why they HAVE to? They did same AI as like in every other game in this genre. As we approach the November 17th launch date for Company of Heroes 3, our team has decided the game is not quite up to our players’ or our own high standards. In strategy they only can give them more resources/bigger armies. In RPG they give them unique abilities etc. In fps/tps they make enemy flank you, use tools. New sub-genres created.Īnd I m not the sharpest tool in the kitchen myself, still never ever I had any struggles in any game from civs and tw to cnc, sc/wc or dow/coh I m playing this genre for like almost 30 years and tbh. Name me few Strategy games where AI can provide at least A LITTLE challenge without having like x100 resources on their side? If you expect from developers to release exactly the same game or even worse after 10 years, it's high time for you to stop playing because I expect developers to show a lot of progress, a lot of innovation in all aspects of the game after 10 years but there is nothing innovative about CoH 3, literally nothing. It was easier back then because they didn't have base defenses as default when you start a match, they added them now to delay this tactic a bit and have an enemy squad(s) maybe circumvent you because you can't cover all the 3 exits out of their base fast enough but I still haven't lost using the above overall strategy.īut this is a strategy that works against AI in most strategy games so it is not really a Relic problem.īut this is a strategy that works against AI in most strategy games so it is not really a Relic problem. You just rush units outside their base at start and restrict their movement-starve them out and progressively bring heavier stuff to bring down the machinegun nests or capture an at gun. The same tactics I used back then to steamroll the hardest AI in Dark Crusade or Soulstorm works here just fine, CoH2 is no exception. You guys haven't been playing their games? The difficulty of the AI is the same since dawn of war games. but it cannot be change after (I think)Īs for the same map over and over. I care so at least the AI is challenging as it was in COH2 Developers didn't do their job so they apparently forgot on maps. It's so boring to play the difficulty "fearless" and play the same map thousand times. 99% of all battles are just skirmishes with the same map all over again.
